The shameless face of Israel

The shameless face of Israel… The case of Syria
Netanyahu started the day with a nice, compassionate tweet. The man cannot sleep at night from the injustice and the massacres in Syria. He felt angry on and worried from using chemical weapons on innocent citizens. I was thinking …. how disgusting this man is, and I just cannot imagine how he seriously has guts to say this. But at the end, Netanyahu is the master of hypocrisy, a killer and an arrogant tyrant.
Later ,
I was scrolling through articles, and my eyes spotted a title in Haaretz under “ Israel’s historic duty to act on Syria.” I felt like, well, Israel is caring. Human rights and people make a lot of value.
The subtitle was inspiring I would say: “ the same world that ignored the Holocaust and the slaughter in Rwanda has abandoned the murdered victims in Syria. Israel cannot stand idly…

I was thinking …wow…. How daring this person is. It is not only Netanyahu!!! Unless the individual who wrote the article was born a …. I had to reason the assumed age of that person. First I thought I could use the number 3. Three years since the “slaughter” ( I would conveniently use the term the writer chose) in Gaza. But then I thought, did the murders, the killing, the violations, the oppression, stopped since then? I just did not even need to use much effort in my memory. Less than a month ago Basel Araj was assassinated in Ramallah, Fuqaha was murdered in Gaza. A 16 years old girl in Hebron, A man or two killed in a raid on Gaza. A mother of a martyr in Jerusalem, a 17year old boy in Jalazon with 2 of his friends in a coma.
And I am sure if I just make a quick scroll on news feeds I will find more. House demolitions by tens, lands confiscation and forced transfers and displacement.
But again I had to focus and think that I need to use the terminology that the international community is less sensitive at.
And of course, I cannot compare a few killings of massacres that are performed Syria.
But maybe the writer should have also grasped a look at Iraq. She did not notice that millions of Iraqis were “slaughtered” in the last ten years, and to be more specific in the last week hundreds were killed?
What is in fact close to a feeling of “amazement” this sense of sudden emergence f humanity.
EXCUSE ME, the mass killings in the massacres of Gaza, where were you then?
The destruction that Israel caused to Gaza three years ago is still unmendable. The poisoned gas from phosphorous to God know what in chemicals. The chemical wastes Israel throws in Palestinian territories. The hundreds and thousands of injured people left disabled forever. The tens of thousands of families left under no roof for the last three years now. The thousands of murdered people who left behind loved one bereaved. Why were you silent then?
The words fail me …
It is such a shameless state of people …as well

  2. What is sad is the selectivity of political “leaders” on acknowledging inexcusable murders of innocent people. Not only is there Syria, Palestine, Gaza, there is the murder of Muslims in Myanmar (by those who call themselves Buddhists!), the continuing murder of Nigerians, people in the Congo, and the continuing assault against black men here in the USA. When will a leader arise who speaks the truth and calls for compassion and true justice? When will the United Nations get some spine, punish their raping “peacekeepers” and take a firm stand to end state sanctioned murder?
