After Trump announcement , the PA must pack and leave

I admit I feel depressed. I was flirting with the idea of Trump announcing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. I was even trying to rationalize it, to critically debate it. But when it happened I felt distressed. I feel my heart aching. I feel pain in my chest. I feel as if my heart is stopping to move.

This is jerusalem.. the heart of this nation. Given to another body that should claim it his heart officially.

yaaaa… who is America to decide a capital? And did Israel need American to determine its money? Yes, it is a sign of coercion, control, enforcing change on the ground.

yes, we will go out to the streets….. and apparently yes.. a new phase of more loss is entering …

Game over… no more Palestinian cause. There is no Palestine without Jerusalem.

Abbas made one of the worse speeches of his life today in response to the announcement. It was a weak, defeated, empty speech.

The only thing he could have done was to announce the end of this stupid PA.

We have been losing everything since the creation of this damned authority. it is time we go back to the occupation

one state is the only right solution.

the PA should be resolved immediately.

Abbas and his convoy should pack and leave immedietely ….

Abbas is as disgraceful to Palestinians, as much as Trump is a disgrace to human race.

  1. Nadia, I so feel for you. I spent time in Ramallah, Jericho, East Jerusalem and others PA areas when covering the Second Intifada. It is wrong wrong wrong what the Palestinian people go through on a daily basis. I am embarrassed and angry at our President. But also at our Congress who voted for this back in 1995. I am deeply saddened by this new turn of events. Please keep writing and have faith that we will hear your voice.

  2. +Palestinians must fight for what is right….there are more friends in the US than most know….we are behind whatever it takes to free Palestine forever…..good post and be safe….chuq

  3. F*ck Trump. He means nothing. He is a sorry little 3 year old that will misbehave it he doesn’t get his toys or has to go to bed without dinner. In 3 years he will be gone.

Sadly, that will probably mean more pain for the Palestinians. But most of us who live in the “occupied” US are ready to kick him out. If he is not impeached within 2 years, it would be a miracle. What a disaster to the US and to all the world. Some of us stand with you, in peace and solidarity.

Keep writing. We need more voices like yours in this world.

    Best,
    Mexi

  4. I have no idea what Its agenda is with this move, but I guarantee that It will be asking for favors in return for this move. I’m not Jewish or Palestinian, but there’s no way It is acting in some positive manner here. This so-called Presideny of ours has zero political savvy, and this is just another rash and unstable move by It. Its ego knows no bounds, and this is yet another example of that. Believe me, there are plenty of us here in the US who do not trust It Not believe It represents us in any way at all.

    1. it is winning on the status quo level. it satisfies netnayahu and fundamentalist egoes. they want to prepare the stage for a solution with the current situation as a starting point.

          1. I don’t have a dog in that fight. I’m not Jewish or Palestinian. That said, I wouldn’t count on the Trumpster Fire to be part of any solution. I promise you he has an agenda, and it’s not for the benefit of either group in Israel. Our non-illustrious so-called leader is not to be trusted. Buyer beware when he butts in.

      1. Thank you from my soul for your blog, Nadia. Jerusalem was the capital of Palestine before the state of Israel even existed. I write a lot about Palestine, you inspire me to write much more! I was born 8 months before the Nakba, it wrenches my heart to identify, as I do, with every event since 1948 and to recognize where I was and what happened there. Although very far from capable in Arabic, I study it to more closely relate to each Palestinian living under occupation or in exile.
