Once Upon a Moment in Time

I came to Bogliasco believing that I was approaching the completion of HerStory, a project tracing the presence of women across history. Instead, I found myself questioning not only how history is written, but what it has taught us not to see. In the beauty and serenity of Villa dei Pini, I rediscovered the pleasure of thinking, reading, and writing, and began to understand that reclaiming women’s presence meant something far greater than recovering their names. I arrived hoping to finish a book. I left realizing that I had only begun to understand what I was trying to write. And that was the greatest feeling of all.
